EPL Gameweek 23 : Predictions, Tips & Analysis for Liverpool vs Man City

Here is our analysis and predictions for Liverpool vs Manchester City this weekend...

The English Premier League is back with a thriller between two English football giants who have both won the EPL trophy in recent years.

Liverpool will face Man City at Anfield in a match which may determine whether or not Liverpool will lose the Premier League title they won for the first time in 2019/20. That season was an especially good one for them as they won the league earlier than any other team in English top-flight history.

The ongoing season has been a bit different for both. Manchester City were stuck in the middle of the table early in the campaign while Liverpool were flying high. The story seems to have changed as City have hit their stride at the right time. They are on a great run of form which has seen them rise to the top of the league table. Their opponents have experienced a drastic loss of form which may be caused in some parts by injuries to key members of their team.

Historically, Liverpool have the edge over the Citizens as they’ve won a total of 105 games , lost 57 times and has been held to a stalemate in 54 matches but that could count for little, considering the fact that Manchester City have won two, drawn two and lost one in their previous five meetings in the EPL and are currently the strongest team in the country. This is evident in their 13-games winning streak in all competitions. Form may not come into play in games like this as both teams are sure to bring their A-game on the field of play.

A dull Anfield isn’t something you get to witness often as Liverpool have surprisingly lost their last two home matches against struggling Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion and have failed to score in their last three at the same venue.

With this, Manchester City have a great opportunity on their hands to record a 10th successive Premier League win and put 10 points between themselves and Liverpool in the title race.

It’s a match Jürgen Klopp’s side must win, but recent form makes that the least likely outcome. Their current form doesn’t bode well against a City side who, for all the deserved praise they have received for their attacking play, have kept eight clean sheets in that nine-match winning league run.

Taking into account the defensive and offensive factors heading to the match, it all points to a victory for Manchester City.

TIP :- Manchester City to win
