Super Cup Betting – Top Tips

It only seems like yesterday that Bayern Munich and Sevilla raced to European glory, and with such a short turnaround between seasons, it’s fair to say both sides have had little time to reflect on their successes.

Bayern brushed away all before them once games restarted, while Sevilla hit their stride once another shot at Europa League came into sight.

Champions League holders Bayern (1.36) naturally begin as favourites given the form that saw them blitz their way to a rare treble. However, Sevilla have won as underdogs in this competition before, overpowering Barca to lift this silverware in 2006.

Hansi Flick’s side look unlikely to stand still following last season’s treble success after starting this campaign with a mammoth win.

A hat-trick from Serge Gnabry helped Bayern cruise to an 8-0 win over Schalke – a game that also saw Leroy Sané hit the target following his move from Manchester City.

Bayern will take some beating – but Julen Lopetegui’s side could stop them in their tracks.

Sevilla (5.30) adjusted seamlessly to the straight knockout format that helped them race to a sixth Europa League win.

The La Liga club have also invested shrewdly ahead of their 2020/21 Champions League campaign, bringing back the popular Ivan Rakitić from Barcelona and sealing Suso for the long term.

With both teams still lacking match sharpness following a short pre-season break, this match could prove to be a low-key affair.

The Super Cup marks the start of a bruising schedule for Bayern that sees them play three games in seven days, including a DFL-Supercup clash with old rivals Borussia Dortmund.

With Sevilla yet to return to La Liga action, this could be a low-scoring contest in Budapest as both sides sharpen up their acts for the 2020/21 seasons.
